HAVING waited so long for improvements to Newton train station I am concerned by the filthy disgrace it has now become.
Not just stairs and tunnel but also waiting rooms.
I have reported these to Northern but if anything it has got worse.
The local community deserves better.
PS Even as I type, a litter-picker has gone around. What is needed is even more than a mopping. It is a deep clean, repeated monthly.
