REGARDING last week's letter about the glass-fronted St Mary's Market and the reader's suggestion it should be repurposed.
I think it would make a great museum. We could call it the St Helens culture quarter.
A glass museum, transport museum and St Helens museum of history.
It would celebrate the culture of our town and those who have gone on to be a success such as Geoff Duke (world champion motorcyclist) and the brass bands which are still going strong representing St Helens.
All the sportsmen and women past and present, actors, actresses, singers, engineers, pioneers etc. Could include a library with cafe (nice terrace). Lots of potential there.
