MY family were very involved in the church and parish (St Peter and St Paul’s) from its early days.

My dad and brother helped to tar the roof of the parish hall, dad was a collector/ reader/ eucharistic minister.

My brother was an altar server and mum sang in the choir, looked after the flowers and altar linen and helped with the cleaning.

I also sang in the choir, read at mass and was a eucharistic minister.

So many others gave their time and energy to the parish. There are lots of memories within those walls... It’s heartbreaking to see it go.
