I KNOW there are long-term plans to regenerate St Helens town centre.

But do we have a plan for the here and now, as businesses and the area in general looks in need of support?

This is likely to become more apparent as the cost-of-living crisis and the whopping energy prices really bite over the autumn.

What can we do to get more shoppers there or attract more people into the restaurants, pubs and bars?

Who can offer the leadership and direction that is needed?

What’s the plan for the next few months? Anyone? Maybe the Star can generate some suggestions.
