WHAT a turnout at Rainhill Village Hall on last Thursday at the public meeting to discuss and debate the proposed closure of Rainhill Library and the Rainhill Trials exhibition.
The hall was full, with 200 people there to show their support for those fighting hard to keep both open.
Let’s hope at the very least they can persuade St Helens Council to grant an extension to the proposed date of October 31, allowing more than the ridiculous three months’ notice.
The library and exhibition are part of our very fabric and should remain so.
Brian Renshall, Rainhill
