Ruskin Park 36 Douglas 16.
RUSKIN powered past a previously unbeaten Douglas from the first whistle and the home side meant business.
Impressive pair Orrick and Lockett had some rampaging runs with great work in the open from Hall and the Tindall brothers.
Hughes sliced through the defence to score the first try, which was quickly followed up with a great flowing move which was finished off by scrum half Cottam with Fogerty adding the extras.
Some ill discipline allowed the visitors two quick penalties but Ruskin responded with O'Hare crashing over out wide and Fogerty adding the extras making it 19-6 at the interval.
Some sloppy play at the start of the second half allowed the visitors to score a try but a Fogerty penalty steadied the ship to make the score 22-11.
The visitors never gave up and were rewarded with another score to make it 22-16 going into the last 15 minutes.
Ruskin showed their strength though with Lyon crashing over and Fogerty adding the extras to relieve some pressure.
This was followed up with M Tindall diving over from short range for a well deserved try and Fogerty adding the extras to complete the scoring.
