The BBC has chosen Wakefield Wildcats’ home tie against Wigan Warriors and St Helens’ clash with Catalans Dragons as the two televised ties for the Carnegie Challenge Cup fifth round.
John Kear’s men will be live on BBC 1 on Saturday 9 May, kick off 2.30pm, whilst BBC 2 will broadcast the repeat of the 2007 Carnegie Challenge Cup Final on Sunday 10 May, kick off 3.15pm.
The draw for the quarter final of the competition will also take place on BBC 2 on the Sunday evening following the conclusion of the St Helens and Catalans Dragons game.
The Carnegie Challenge Cup fifth round ties are as follows: Gateshead Thunder v Oldham, Batley Bulldogs v Salford City Reds, Castleford Tigers v Halifax, Featherstone v Warrington Wolves, St Helens v Catalans Dragons.(Live on BBC 2, Sunday 10 May, kick off 3.15pm), Huddersfield Giants v Rochdale Hornets, Hull KR v Sheffield Eagles, Wakefield Trinity Wildcats v Wigan Warriors, (Live on BBC 1, Saturday 9 May, kick off 2.30pm).
All ties to be played weekend of May 9-10.
