KYLE Feldt – the third of Saints’ off season signings from the NRL – has arrived in the UK.

The prolific try-scoring winger, who has joined from North Queensland Cowboys on a two-year deal, touched down today.

The 6ft 3 flankman is a replacement for the departing Tommy Makinson.

A proven clinical finisher and one-club man since making his debut in 2013 Feldt has so far used his pace and power to score 151 tries, kicked 44 goals in 217 appearances for the North Queensland outfit.

But now he moves on to a fresh challenge in the Super League with Saints and becomes the side’s third NRL recruit to arrive after Tristan Sailor from Brisbane and Lewis Murphy from Sydney Roosters.

When he first announced his switch to Saints, Feldt said: “I can’t wait, it’s a big change for me and my family and as soon as we caught wind that St Helens wanted me to come over and join.

"And after talking to Wello (Paul Wellens)and Rushy (CEO - Mike Rush) it’s set in that we've made the right decision and we picked the right club.

“This feels like the right choice and the right decision, not only for me but for my family.

"I know I’m coming to a great club with a very rich history of great players with great a work ethic as well."

There are many motivations for Feldt in making the switch – the experience of playing in front of passionate crowds and the challenge of battling for silverware.

“I’m excited to experience the UK fans, I know they really get right behind you, chant and sing songs when you’re going well,” he said.

“I’ve been a one-club man for so long and always want to give back to the fans and community I live in, and I’ve heard St. Helens is a close-knit community so I think I will fit in well.”
