THREE St Helens Sutton A.C members travelled to Chester to take part in the ever popular Marathon event, held on a rolling, undulating course.
England International Matt Crehan narrowly missed out on a podium placing finishing fourth in an excellent time of 2 hours 21 minutes 31 seconds.
Husband and Wife team Martin and Sue Johnson also running the 26 miles 385 yards distance, with Martin clocking 3 hours 34 minutes 4 seconds and Sue posting a time of 4 hours 21 seconds.
Both very commendable efforts.
All at the club were saddened to hear of the recent passing of former Club Chairman Colin Spark.
Colin had a passionate and committed attitude towards Athletics and served the club as a Coach, Field Official and Starter as well as Club Chairman.
He will be greatly missed and our thoughts are with his Family and Loved ones at this difficult time.
