AS the autumn season begins St Helens Sutton A.C members have had their sights set over the longer road running distances.
In the prestigious and historically fast Berlin marathon Chris Birkett was well under the three hour mark posting an excellent time of 2 hours 53 minutes 47 seconds.
His wife Sarah also taking part acted as a guide runner for her brother the pair both clocking a commendable time of four hours 22 minutes 44 seconds.
Meanwhile four club members made the short journey to nearby Warrington to take part in the Warrington Festival of Running, Neil Lowe and Nicole Sarbuts were both making their debuts at the half marathon distance.
Neil running 2 hours 6 minutes 4 seconds and Nicola returning a time of 2 hours 23 minutes 23 seconds.
In the 10k Niamh Waring ran 1 hour 1 minute 42 seconds and Dawn Waring running in the 5k completed the quartet in a time of 40 minutes 59 seconds.
