SAINTS coach Paul Wellens has selected his 21-man squad for Saturday's play-off eliminator at Warrington, 5.30pm.

There is just one change to the squad from last week’s final regular round of the 2024 Betfred Super League season with Moses Mbye stepping out of the squad after picking up a calf injury during the warm-up at Leigh Sports Village.

Young centre Jonny Vaughan comes into the squad, which may lead to speculation as to whether Sione Mata'utia will move back into his favoured pack spot.

But Saints have other centre options with Waqa Blake and Ben Davies also included in the 21.

There is no early return for Curtis Sironen, but Alex Walmsley is included after missing Leigh with sickness.

St.Helens 21-man squad v. Warrington Wolves: 1. Jack Welsby, 2. Tommy Makinson, 3. Waqa Blake, 4. Mark Percival, 5. Jon Bennison, 6. Jonny Lomax, 7. Lewis Dodd, 8. Alex Walmsley, 9. Daryl Clark, 10. Looking at Warrington Coach Wellens said: "Warrington’s strength this this year is their collective.

"They're a really hard working competitive team and probably their strength in the past has been as individuals.

"I think that that's where they've improved, but they do also have those individual threats within them – the likes of Ashton, Walker, Dufty and George Williams.is a really dangerous player for them.

"So they have got that combination of individual threats and but also really hard working Our strength is how hard we work for each other.

"And again, we've got some players in there who can do things that a lot of players can't.

"So I think that's why it makes for a really intriguing contest on the weekend."
