ST HELENS Swimming Club got their new season off to a great start at Trafford Metro on Sunday.
Miles Hughes set the standard with three golds, all in Personal Best times whilst Personal Bests in the 50m Backstroke and 100m Freestyle saw Rose Terry pick up two gold medals.
Six PB’s gave Freya Ashton two golds and two silver and it was a busy day for Hayden Battle as he secured two golds and four silvers with a number of Personal Bests.
There was a gold for debutant, Izzy Wainwright in the 50m Breaststroke, one of two PB’s, whilst Oliver Crosby picked up gold in the 100m Backstroke and silver in the 50m Backstroke, the latter being a PB.
Charlie Cookson-Cliffe, Ava Whittle, Edith Keely-Goose, Jaxon Pullen, Henry Harrison and another debutant, Freya Green were also in the medals.
This weekend attention turns to the Liverpool Aquatic Centre for the Liverpool & District Championships.
