HEAD coach Paul Wellens has made five changes to his Saints side for Friday's clash with Castleford Tigers.

Five of senior players return and are available for selection for the crunch clash at Totally Wicked Stadium.

Wingman Tommy Makinson returns from a two-match suspension and is joined by injury returnees Mark Percival, Lewis Dodd, Daryl Clark and James Bell.

Saints are without Moses Mbye, who picked up a one-match penalty notice following last Saturday’s game against Warrington.

Sam Royle, Harry Robertson, Jonny Vaughan and George Whitby go out of the squad.

Vaughan picked up a niggle in the Reserves Grand Final against Wigan on Friday.

Saints lost 8-6 last time the sides met in July - a bad loss that they need to rectify.

Wellens said: "I hope that we are approaching it different to the last time we played them because we were way below the standards we need that night.

"But I have every confidence that we will.

"I feel the group is in a different spot and that there is an energy about the team going into the back end of the year."
