IN last week’s St Helens Star we asked a couple of questions in relation to the Saints fire brigade photo published on our now weekly Back in Time page.

The picture featured Sean Long, Tim Jonkers, Paul Wellens and Paul Sculthorpe, the other question related to which ex-Saints joined the Welsh fire service after his departure.

The answer is Jonathan Griffiths, who incidentally features in this week’s Back in Time matches.

Saints’ tries came from Shannon McDonnell, Paul Wellens and Willie Manu. Saints had the last laugh, eventually winning both the shield and the Grand Final.
