A YOUTHFUL, but depleted St Helens Sutton A.C squad travelled over the Welsh border to compete in the third match of the Northern Division 1 Track and Field League at the Wrexham International Athletics Stadium.
Despite being low on numbers all the athletes present performed to the best of their ability.
There were wins for Gabriel Mullen in the 800 Metres Men's race, Lucy Clitheroe in the Ladies 800 Metres race and James Asson in the Men's 200 metres.
The team finished 5th on the day.
Meanwhile in the Tony Barnes 5 mile road race held at Sefton Park Liverpool , Ryan Molyneux posted a good time of 28 minutes 19 seconds to finish in 22nd position and Niamh Waring completed the course in 47 minutes 5 seconds.
