LIVERPOOL St Helens RUFC have announced the appointment of Adam Jackson as their new Head Coach.
A former player with Premiership professional experience at London Scottish, as well as spells at Neath and Grenoble, Jackson is currently Director of Sport at Scarisbrick Hall School in Southport.
He takes the helm at Moss Lane following the retirement of Andy Northey after an 11-year stint at the club.
Jackson, aged 51, is no stranger to Moss Lane having begun his coaching career with LSH u17s before his subsequent coaching journey has included roles with Fylde, Sale Sharks and Lancashire U20s.
Now having established Rugby firmly into the curriculum at Scarisbrick Hall, including a girls’ team, he is ready for a return to League Rugby Union.
“I was pleasantly surprised to be approached,” he said.
“But the timing is just right. Liverpool St Helens is a proud club with a fantastic heritage and I am really looking forward to the new challenge.”
Tom Jackson, LSH Chair, is delighted with the appointment.
He said: “Adam is well known to us and brings a wealth of experience both as a player and a coach.
"The club continues to develop at pace, with the recent addition of a 3rd XV for the new season, and we believe that Adam is just the man to continue to take us forward.”
