JUNIOR members of St Helens Sutton A.C travelled to Ashton Under Lyme to compete in round two of the Youth Development League lower (YDL).

Two athletes were making their debuts (D) for the club and a number of PBs were recorded.

Chloe Brownbill 300 metres 51 seconds (PB) 800 metres 3 minutes 1 second shotput 5.45 metres (PB).

Meanwhile later on in the week a quartert of club members made the short journey to Parbold to take part in the 1st race of the series of the popular Harrock Hill Race this tough 5.3 miler takes place over tracks fields and hills and was made even more difficult due to the wet and windy weather conditions.

Taylor Massey had an excellent run finishing 1st in the ladies section of the race with a time of 42 minutes 24 seconds, her Mother Siobhan running a creditable 51 minutes 13 seconds.

In the Men's race Matt Crehan also achieved a podium placing finishing a very impressive second in this gruelling event, Matt clocking 35 minutes 55 seconds for the distance.

The quartet was completed by Michael Brussels with a time of 42 minutes 25 seconds to take a pleasing top 30 placing.
