THE young fighters at JC’s Amateur Boxing Club in Fingerpost continues to enjoy success – and the club now has five national champions.
The club's latest victory came earlier this month with Tyler McIntyre winning the National title once again.
The titles are just one part of the club's success story, with the fighters who train daily at the Jackson Street club aged between 13 and 18-years-old.
The club’s winners from 2023/24 are as follows.
Tyler McIntyre, aged 17, whose National title in February enabled him to gain an England vest to go alongside his belt - and will compete at international levels.
Kai Birch, 18, became National champion in 2023 in the NABGC competition.
Earlier this month Mason Wainwright was runner up in his weight division in the Nationals, making him second best in England at present.
Francesca Goodman, aged 14, is England’s National schoolgirl champion and has been chosen to fight for Merseyside & Cheshire in Denmark this year.
Daniel Robertson, 13, is and England National schoolboy champion.
All boxers are competing this year to retain their titles.
