ST HELENS darter Stephen Bunting's run in the Mr Vegas Grand Slam of Darts ended at the semi final in Wolverhampton on Sunday, losing a thriller against Rob Cross .
It was something of a semi-final rollercoaster, with Cross pulling clear from seven-all to win nine of the final 15 legs.
But just when it it looked that Bunting was out, the Windle-based thrower rallied to make it a tense ending before succumbing 16-13.
The final was won by Luke Humphries.
