A FIRST half three-try purple patch sparked by Tara Jones' opening score kepts Saints' hands gripped firmly on Betfred Women's Challenge Cup for the third successive year.
Saints scored tries back to back to take a 16-0 lead, and even though Leeds rallied either side of the break the managed the game brilliantly to secure a 22-8 triumph.
Saints defence had to be on its mettle when ex-teammate Amy Hardcastle's burst through only to be hauled down by Eboni Partington chasing back.
Saints then took hold of the match with a grip they would never relinquish with Jones going over from dummy half in the 13th minute.
Tries from Phoebe Hook and Partington followed to make 16-0.
Sophie Robinson and Caitlin Beevers threw the game back into melting pot, but Shona Hoyle restored Saints' 12-point cushion after gathering a fine Faye Gaskin kick to the corner.
Amy Taylor's 64th minute penalty made doubly sure of the game - and when the hooter went there was a wave of emotion and celebration.
