RAINHILL suffered a miserable day at Premier League leaders Ormskirk despite their bowlers dismissing the West Lancashire outfit for 151.
Former Lancashire all-rounder Luke Procter took 3-42 and Khalid Usman 4-55 for the visitors but their hopes of victory disappeared as they collapsed to 66 all out.
Skipper John Dotters hit an unbeaten 65 as Rainford were bowled out for 151 at champions Wallasey who eased home to win by seven wickets.
In Division One, St Helens Town lost a thriller at Sefton Park after they recovered from 44-5 to post 185 all out with Patrick Whipps (41) top scoring. Sibusiso Maseko took 3-63 but the hosts reached the target with eight wickets down.
Division Two's top two sides met at the New Street Oval where Maghull made 233 all out against Sutton. Sean Faulkner (3-61) and Andy Cowley (3-75) took three wickets apiece for the visitors whose reply got off to a good start through Jack York (49) before a middle order collapse saw them dismissed for 146.
