RAINFORD are still searching for a first win from this season's Premier League campaign after a battling home draw with Northern.
John Dotters (4-77) and Andrew Pickavance (3-80) were the pick of the bowlers as the visitors were all out for 219. Liam Gaskell's 66, batting at nine, gave Rainford a chance but they closed on 194-9.
Rainhill inflicted a crushing 10 wicket defeat on Orrell Red Triangle after Jack Lowrie (5-15) and Khalid Usman (3-21) combined to bowl the hosts out for just 81. Ross Higham (41no) and Billy Godleman (38no) were there at the end to seal a straightforward win.
Newton le Willows lead Division One after beating Lytham by 117 runs at Church Road. Lancashire spinner Jack Morley hit 53 to help the visitors post 194-8 off 55 overs before Ahmad Safi Abdullah (4-34) sealed the victory.
St Helens Town could only reach 91 all out at home to Bootle with Jonny Hine's 27 the only notable contribution. Callum Hewitt then took 3-29 but the visitors wrapped up a four wicket win.
In Division Two, Sutton's Jamie Greener was the pick of the bowlers with 4-44 as Prestatyn declared on 175-9 off 55 overs. Opner Joe Smith led from the front with 65 as the hosts chased down the target with three wickets to spare.
