A NUMBER of St Helens Swimming Club members tackled the Trafford Spring Gala.
Alicia Ashton led the way, with bronze medals in the 50m butterfly and 50m breaststroke, while also finishing fourth in the 100m butterfly and fifth in the 100m breaststroke.
There was a bronze medal for Ella Whittle in the 50m backstroke and Josh Barker in the 100m butterfly, who touched home fifth in the 50m freestyle.
Olivia Bradshaw placed sixth in the 100m breaststroke.
There were good performances from Grace Pickett in the 100m freestyle and Steph Bradshaw in her first gala of the year.
This came at the end of a good week for the club out of the water, as they achieved the Swim England SwimMark Essential Accreditation.
