LIVERPOOL St Helens, travelled to South Manchester to visit Didsbury Toc H, as league leaders in this latest ADM league round of fixtures but returned home with a 29-13 loss.
LSH kicked off, and immediately started to exert pressure, forcing a couple of penalties out of the Didsbury defence.
The decision was made to run these penalties, but unfortunately they came to nothing.
Didsbury started to build into the game, exerting pressure of their own, forcing penalties out of the visitors, which were converted by the home side 6 0.
The reply from L.S.H, was immediate, with a penalty from Matty Wood.
Didsbury then mounted a great deal of pressure, slotting two penalties and also scoring a short range converted try, to take the lead out to 19-3.
After yet another successful Didsbury penalty the L.S.H. backs finally clicked into gear with a well worked set piece move which saw John Romano score in the corner for his 10th try of the season, converted by Wood to complete the scoring for the first with Didsbury 12 points in front.
On a day when LSH were not at their best and when a number of crucial decisions went against them, the second half was always going to be a struggle. So it proved.
After a Wood penalty for LSH the homesters, went further ahead with a converted try from short range to complete the scoring.
LSH entertain Leigh on Saturday with a 2.15 KO.
