SAINTS coach Kristian Woolf has not ruled out Jonny Lomax from Saturday's Challenge Cup semi-final against Wigan.
Lomax came off midway through the first half of the Salford game with a bicep injury and has been undergoing treatment since.
Will Hopoate, however, will be ruled out with a recurring hamstring injury.
Woolf will name his squad on Thurday - and will give his international half back time to prove his fitness.
He said: "He is going to give himself every chance. He is one of the most - if not the most - diligent players I have ever come across.
"If he gets himself out on to the field he is going to be 100 per cent and be able to function as Jonny Lomax and what is expected of him.
"He has a fair bit to get through just yet but we will figure that our in the coming days."
Winger Regan Grace has a chance of playing - despite only playing once, in the cup game at Whitehaven, so far this season.
"If Regan is 100 per cent fit and healthy and we are not taking a risk there of him suffereing another re-occurrence or longer term injury then he will play.
“Regan is a bit like Jonny. We will see how he progresses over the next few days and we will name a squad on Thursday and that will give a good indication of where those blokes sit.”
