LEWIS Dodd marked his call-up to the England squad with another fine display in Saints’ 42-8 triumph at Hull KR.
The 20-year-old Widnesian also helped himself to a brace of well-taken tries – with the first being his trademark show and go similar to the one he grabbed in the opening round against Catalans.
Dodd not only has an ability to spot a gap but the blistering pace to exploit it to maximum advantage Saints coach Kristian Woolf hailed those special qualities that have seen him seize the number seven shirt and become a key cog in the Saints wheel.
Woolf said: “He has a great kicking game and directs us around the field well and is getting better and better at the way he manages the game and how he gets the ball to blokes like Jonny and Jack out the back.
“He has that bit of class about him too, where he can find the try line.
“I love the way he backing himself and playing both sides of the footy and defending the footy and he ‘s only going to get better.”
