SAINTS are confident that the four players who picked up knocks in Thursday’s opening night win over Catalans will be fit to play in Round 2 at Hull FC on Saturday.
Mark Percival went off late in the game after a taking a high tackle from Dylan Napa, with Will Hopoate and Sione Mata’utia also leaving the field late in the game.
Lewis Dodd picked up a bang on the ankle in the act of scoring, but was able to finish the game.
Saints coach Kristian Woolf expects all of them to make the line-up for the trip to Hull.
Percival was cleared for concussion on the night and had there been more time left in the game he would have been allowed back on.
Woolf said: “It was a direct hit to the head and our medical staff wanted to make sure they got that right and took him off to make sure.
“That is what we expect them to do, look after the players.”
In the cases of Dodd, Mata’utia and Hopoate they have come through well.
“They have done a fair bit of work with the physio and our main training session is tomorrow and they are all fully fit and joining in that session.
“I am confident all of those guys will play – and if one of them didn’t I am confident in the guys we have got underneath with people champing at the bit to come in and get their opportunity.
“But I am confident that all three of those guys are going to play,” Woolf said.
