ST HELENS super-middleweight Martin Murray makes a swift return to the ring after being added to the bill for the MTKFightNight at the Olympia in Liverpool on 15 November.
The four-time World title challenger, who boasts a record of 38 wins, five defeats and one draw, with 17 KOs, will return to the scene of his last outing in July where he secured a points win over Rui Pavanito.
The bout is scheduled as an eight-rounder, with the Fingerpost fighter’s opponent yet to be confirmed.
The night sees his team-mate Rocky Fielding - and local Liverpool hero, return to the ring for the first time since losing his world super middleweight title to Saul Alvarez last December.
Proceedings will be televised live on ESPN+ in the U.S in association with Top Rank and on iFL TV worldwide.
Veteran Murray, who turns 37 on Friday, said: “I love fighting and everything that comes with it so I’m really excited and happy to be fighting again on November 15.
“Preparing with my good mate Rocky will really help because we always bounce off each other in camp.
“We’ve always been top mates anyway but to train alongside a world-class fighter like him is good and it’s only going to help my preparations.
“I’m solely focused on November 15 because I know that a good performance here could set me up for another big fight in 2020.”
Further news of who Murray and Fielding will be fighting will be announced in the coming weeks.
