CLOCK Face Miners NCL team recorded a resounding 58-10 win against the visiting Hull Dockers.
Following the early exchanges, Brad Davies broke through the Hull defence, passed to the supporting Luke Forber who raced 50m to score under the sticks.
From then on Clock were in the ascendency. Alex Burke scored the first of his brace of tries out on Hull’s left edge.
Karle Hunt followed up with the first of his hat trick, also on Hull’s left edge.
Clock could have been out of sight within 30 minutes but, for having two tries disallowed.
Hull pulled a try back however, a Tom Taylor try gave Clock a commanding 22-4 half time lead.
Hull had a sniff of a comeback when they scored early in the second half. However from then on it was all Clock Face.
Hunt had completed his hat trick within 10 minutes of the restart. A short ball from Taylor put Michael Carney in at the corner.
Jordy Cresser then got on the scoresheet going over on Hull’s troublesome left edge.
Burke followed to complete his brace then, Shaun Costello completed the scoring when he broke from a scrum and powered his way over. Ian Webster had a great day with the boot slotting over 9/10 conversions.
Clock Face A team ground out a tough win with a 30-24 victory away at Bolton Mets in the NWML.
