CLOCK Face Miners were left still searching for their first away win of the season in the NCL division two after a narrow 24-22 loss at Bradford Dudley Hill.
It was one of those, you score, we score, kind of games with the lead switching several times throughout the match. Dudley Hill scored first but, Clock were quick to reply and take the lead through tries for Jordy Cresser and Luke Leyden with Ian Webster converting one. However, on the stroke of half time Clock gifted possession to the home side who scored to level matters 10-10 at half time.
Dudley Hill edged in front 61 minutes into the second half with a try under the sticks. However, Shaun Costello levelled matters when he powered his way over. Dudley Hill scored again to recover their six point lead but, crucially they slotted over a penalty with two minutes to go. A Ben Rigby try with a minute to go brought Clock some hope but, it proved to be too late.
Clock Face Miners NWML team racked up another big home win as they demolished Blackpool Stanley 52-10.
