VOLUNTEERS are needed to help with the Rugby League World Cup which kicks off in the autumn.
The programme was launched on Monday and is looking for people of all ages to act as ambassadors for the town during the games.
Volunteers can get as involved as they want and training is flexible.
The closing date to register interest is next Friday, June 28.
Jan Souness, chairman of the local RLWC group, said: “The World Cup will leave a lasting legacy in Warrington and this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to get involved and represent your town.
“You could be directing people to matches, helping out at a game or helping to spread the word in the run up to the tournament - you can be as involved as you like.”
Anyone interested can e-mail sports@warrington.gov.uk for an application form or pick one up from Contact Warrington in the town centre.
