Former Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Nadine Dorries's Twitter account vanishes.
It comes after rumours from fellow Twitter users that the MP deleted her account with one user writing: “Nadine Dorries appears to have deleted Twitter. End of an era..”
Users of the popular conversation app first noticed the missing account when an automated message appeared saying “This account doesn’t exist”.
Seeing what was once the profile picture and header image for the MP is now blank and filled with a grey-coloured background.
The public has replied with a mixed reaction to the apparent deleted Twitter account, with one user writing: “It would appear that the Twitter account of Nadine Dorries has vanished. Be a shame if it happened to the rest of the Tory party.”
Another wrote: “Nadine Dorries may not even realise that deleting her Twitter account means that she will no longer be able to tweet”
Although she has deleted her Twitter account, the MP has not deleted her Instagram account.
She last shared a post to her followers just a few hours ago (Sunday, September 18) with a picture of a family member gardening and captioning the image with; “after a three and a half hour journey to get here, I allowed her a cup of tea and a Bourbon biscuit before I set her to work.”
