A BOY was arrested after violence broke out on a St Helens town centre street.
Police received reports of a disturbance on Bridge Street on the evening of Thursday, June 20, shortly before 8pm.
Officers said it was reported that a man was punched and kicked by a group.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested at the scene on suspicion of common assault and affray.
He is to be interviewed by officers at a later date, police said.

A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "We arrested a 16-year-old male on suspicion of common assault and affray.
"The arrest followed reports of a disturbance on Bridge Street in St Helens at around 7.50pm on Thursday 20 June.
"It was reported that during the incident a male was punched and kicked by a group of males.
"The 16-year-old was arrested at the scene and will be interviewed at a later date."
