PLEASE can the non-horsey/non-cyclists of Rainford please take note!
It is safer for horses and cyclists to ride two abreast on the road therefore taking on the width of a vehicle.
The reason which is common sense is so that vehicles overtake with more care!
The amount of vehicles which overtake at speed and with little consideration if in single file is unbelievable and two abreast is safer.
Do the people who make comment on a regular basis comment on the Merseyside Police horses they see riding two abreast?? NO!
If people find horses and cyclists riding on the road a problem DON'T BUY HOUSES IN A VILLAGE!
JL, Rainford
