TRAVELLING on a number 32 bus from North Road to Moss Bank with my grandaughter bringing her home from school at 3.15pm, the bus appeared to be especialy full.
The only seats available where towards the rear of the bus. Upon reaching the seats one youth was sat, both feet on the opposite seat.
As I drew nearer he widened his legs to then take-up all four seats. When asked by me to move his feet, this yob replied he had a sore leg.
I replied he would have somewhere else sore if he did not move his feet. This he did reluctantly and he and his friend got off the bus before me only to give me the V sign as the bus drew away.
This fine example of British youth was acting as a wonderful ambassador for his school.
I feel even more sympathy for teachers.
As for me, I’m a 69 years of age former Royal Marine.
