COULD I please, through your Star Letters column extend my sincere thanks and gratitude to the following people, who after my son Andrew, who has Cerebral Palsy, tipped his electric wheelchair over.
To John on Legh Street, whose garden Andrew’s chair fell onto causing a slight head injury, for coming to my house and helped me clean and dress the wound and waited for the ambulance to arrive.
To the two young men who came over and helped me to pick up the very heavy chair, so I could get my son home.
To Ann, who helped by bringing the wheelchair battery that fell off, back to my house.
To the ambulance crew for looking after Andrew so well on the way to hospital, knowing how terrified he was of both!
And the Hospital staff who monitored him before glueing his head and letting us go home. And finally, my daughters Nicola and Laura for making sure anything and everything that needed doing got done - love you girls!
