YOUNG entertainers in St Helens are invited to try out for a talent contest with auditions in Billinge.
St Helens’ Got Talent is open to singers, dancers, musicians and performers across the borough aged nine to 23 years.
The competition is funded and organised by social landlord Riverside in partnership with Safer St Helens and Merseyside Police.
Tanya Marsh, Riverside’s Neighbourhood Housing Officer, said: “Now in its sixth year, St Helens’ Got Talent is a great opportunity for young people to express themselves in a creative way. We never fail to be impressed by the talent we see and I’m sure this year will be no different.”
Natalie Gabriel, Merseyside Police Community Support Officer, added: “The show aims to promote young people in a positive light and prove that they have a lot to offer the community."
The competition is split into two age categories, 9 - 16 and 17 - 23.
Twenty four acts will go through from the auditions to the semi-finals.
The winners from the semi-finals will go on to perform at the final event in front of more than 700 people at St Helens Theatre Royal in February.
The auditions will be held at Birchley St Mary’s Social Club on Trent Road on Saturday, October 22, Sunday, November 20 and Sunday, December 4 between 11am and 4pm.
