A MAN who died after he was shot in the chest has been named as Christopher Honnor.
A post mortem confirmed that the 40-year-old from Prescot died from a single gunshot following an incident on Warrington Road yesterday (Thursday, October 13).
Detectives continue to carry out house-to-house enquiries this morning and forensically examine the scene.
A 43-year-old man and 41-year-old woman, both from St Helens have been arrested on suspicion of murder and possession of a section one firearm. A 37-year-old woman from Prescot was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a section one firearm. All remain in custody.
Officers are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone with any information that could help the investigation, to come forward.
