ART lovers were drawn to a stunning showcase of the area’s top talent.
More than 500 people enjoyed viewing the best offerings from this year’s open art exhibition.
The three-week event at the Godfrey Pilkington Art Gallery featured the work of the 18 finalists in the 2010 open art competition, which attracted 122 entrants.
The annual competition is open to anyone living, working or studying in the borough, and gives amateur and professional artists the chance to show their work at a prestigious event.
This year’s prizewinners were as follows.
First prize: Alan Greenough – Walking the Dog, Abbey Road.
Second prize: Kerry Lisa Davies – Gabriel.
Third prize: Keith Sweeney – Buachille Etive Mor.
Visitors’ Choice winner: Kim Whitfield.
