PRINCE Charles is about to get a new 'right hand woman', when Jayne Casebury takes up her role as his equerry next month.
Thirty-six-year-old Squadron Leader Casebury from Prescot, is the first woman to be appointed to the role by Prince Charles and the first equerry to be chosen by him and his wife Camilla.
A qualified English teacher, she studied English Literature at Loughborough University. She joined the Royal Air Force in 1995 as a training officer and has served at numerous locations across the UK, from RAF Lossiemouth in Scotland, RAF Benson in Oxfordshire and the Ministry of Defence in London. She has also commanded the Airmen's Command Squadron at RAF Halton.
Her duties will include organising the royal couple's diary and she will accompany them during official engagements.
