THOUSANDS gathered to see Liverpool's Anglican Cathedral lit up with fireworks in a spectacular centenary celebration.
Over 35,000 fireworks were launched from the cathedral tower in a display organised by the Liverpool Culture Company as part of the 'Faith In One City' celebrations.
This year sees the 100th anniversary since King Edward VII performed the ceremony of the laying of the Anglican Cathedral's foundation stone.
