I LOVE it when the rugby league public write us off! A hefty defeat like the Leeds game has led to the usual dismissive remarks about our Grand Final credentials.
Our name has rarely been mentioned in relation to lifting cups apart from those which hold tea or coffee!
But with the Challenge Cup under our belt I am sure that most teams would swap positions with us if given the chance.
The weekend's game was all about producing a performance and then a result would follow, although we did play well in patches there is massive room for improvement and that can only be positive news for the team and the fans.
It was great to see Stanky cross the whitewash once, but his second try means that he will be constantly reminding us of his efforts in the coming weeks!
After the weekend we had a much needed five day break.
This break allowed people to let their bodies recover and gave us a chance to get away from the club for a while.
Many of the lads jetted off to sunnier climes taking the chance to relax on the beach, for example Mike Bennet went to Whitby for the weekend! Very glamorous Benno!
But I must say Mike is not the winner of prize for worst location.
Ade Gardner wins that hands down with a luxurious four day, all inclusive vacation to Barrow.
In other words Ade went to stay with his mum for the weekend.
This week sees us travel to Salford for another massive test of character and a chance to keep the pressure on the teams around us!
