A BARMAID suffered a broken wrist when she was stamped on by a teenager who had been asked to leave a pub after causing trouble.
The attack happened outside the Coach and Horses, Rainhill, on Monday, August 2, at 3pm after two men had been causing disorder in the pub's toilets. Detective Inspector Steve Lowe said: "It appears the youths had been causing trouble and kicking toilet doors in. They were asked to leave the pub and outside a scuffle took place.
"A female member of staff was pushed to the ground and trodden on resulting in her breaking her wrist. Another man who attempted to intervene was also kicked, causing ligament damage to his hand."
The 19-year-old barmaid and the man were taken to hospital. Police are appealing for witnesses to the attack outside the pub on Rainhill Road or anyone who may have spotted the youths leaving the scene in the direction of Elton Head Road.
One of the offenders is thought to be aged between 16 and 17 years old, with short blond hair, about 5ft 4ins tall and of medium build. He was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and top. The second man was of similar age, had shaven hair, a skinny build and was about 5ft 8ins tall. He was wearing light blue tracksuit bottoms and a white t-shirt. Both had Liverpool accents.
