FOLLOWING on from the sensational premiere of Ill Communication last year, the Urbis centre in Manchester present the largest exhibition of Graffiti Art ever held in the UK.
Ill Communication II features work from ten of the world's best street artists. Once relegated to the alleyways and dark corners of the city, street art has become one of the most powerful elements of urban culture and vibrant forms of art.
To create the exhibition, Urbis, the world's only cultural institution solely dedicated to the creative exploration of contemporary urban culture, have invited ten artists from cities including New York, Tokyo, Sao Paulo and Munich to create new work directly in the gallery space.
The latest exhibition, based in the gallery in Cathedral Gardens, provides audiences with a unique opportunity to explore the street art scene taking place literally on the streets of cities all over the world.
Ill Communication II runs until 31 October and admission is free.
