AFTER last week I am sure the lads and most people thought that we had left our inconsistent patch of form behind us.
But Salford caught us with our hands in the cookie jar and punished us for our weak mental state on Sunday.
An abundance of rugby league coaches use the phrase 'we played dumb rugby' in the aftermath of a poor performance.
When this is used it insinuates a game punctuated by poor decisions and missed opportunities, which I feel sums up our contribution at the weekend.
After the weekend as a club we just have to focus on the coming fixture and dispel all talk of possible play-off positions and Old Trafford.
In my opinion we need to start doing the little things well, the little things that most teams take for granted.
The Saints side for the last six weeks has taken those things for granted.
It was great to see our new signing make an impact - Higham was his name, I think!
After a long spell out with a foot injury Micky was back in action, I am sure it won't be long before he is terrorising defences and the general public again!
This week will see an in-form London side at Knowsley Road.
With key players back to fitness they are playing with real purpose and we will need to put in a complete performance this week for a result.
