I read with interest a letter that "a Christian" wrote to The Star, that there would be no wars if people kept to the Ten Commandments.
I read with similar interest John Morrison's reply, that there would have been no wars if man-made religion was confined to the dustbin. I agree that man-made religion should be confined to the dustbin, but no wars?
Come, come, Mr Harrison... the Falklands War religion? Unless you say that Hitler belonging to S.S... was religion, religious war?
Then the First World War, was that religion? How many millions have the communists butchered in China, Russia, Korea and the other parts of the world, religion? What utter rubbish. War can be caused by man-made religion, but also a love of power, greed and hatred. Jesus said to those who love him, love your enemies and pray for those who despitefully use you.
