LAST weekend saw us slump to our fourth defeat in five games.

The last six weeks has been a unique experience - and one which I am certain that I will personally reflect upon in the future.

Every team struggles for form. That is the nature of sport and I am a firm believer that these times are sent to test our resolve.

It is how we come through this turbulent patch that will determine how successful we will be this year and in coming seasons.

This week after a very tough session with Apollo on Monday morning we had the chance to have vital time away from the club and visit Everton football club.

We went through a typical day's football training!

I found it hilarious just watching the full squad trying to use their feet when instincts told us to pick the ball up!

I would now like to ask everyone to reminisce back to their school days (if Albi and Willie are reading, remembering the 1950s might be difficult).

Do you remember the big strong lad who could kick a ball really hard usually in the direction of a window or an innocent girl?

Well this guy was definitely Ade Gardner, who despite having Brazilian blood, managed to spray balls into most surrounding gardens and very rarely anywhere near the goal!

The lads found the session demanding and a good change to our routine.

This week is Wigan week!

And another chance to experience the big match atmosphere and be part of one of the games many people dream of being involved in and a game in which the players feel privileged to be a part of!
