WE would like to take this opportunity through the columns of the Star, which has supported amateur rugby league so consistently over the last 30 years or so, to thank all those people in the local ARL fraternity who have expressed their sorrow over the demise of our club, the Hare & Hounds.
Although it should come as no surprise, bearing in mind the many friends we have both made over the years through our involvement in amateur rugby league, we have nevertheless been touched by those people who have taken the trouble to contact us in the past couple of weeks about Hounds' folding and with offers of opportunities for us to stay involved in the sport.
Thanks to you all, and good luck for the forthcoming season and the future.
MICK Manning and Frank Martin, formerly of Hare & Hounds ARLFC (full names and addresses supplied).
