THE Assembly gears up for a taste of underground house on Saturday 21 August as club masters 'Cherry Pie' bring a fresh slice of dance-floor fillers to the venue.

Following hot on the heels of the dance music explosion in Manchester and Liverpool, Cherry pie will be bringing the club vibes to St Helens every month with guest appearances from international DJs.

Converted from an old bank, The Assembly fuses classic architecture with urban chic and once a month Cherry Pie will be providing the soundtrack to the weekend, with respected DJs making St Helens the newest addition to their tour maps.

Matt Holmes, Cherry Pie promoter and resident DJ, says; "St Helens is in a prime position to stand up and be counted musically.

"We're right in-between Liverpool and Manchester where the scene has never been so exciting."

This month the Cherry Pie launch party features Chicago's hottest new property, DJ Alena. Growing up in the historic home of house music, Alena is one of Chicago's finest up and coming young artists.

On her last trip to the UK back in February she played at some of the hottest club nights in Manchester and Liverpool to rave reviews. Her style of bleepy jackin' house is sure to rock the historic venue to its very foundations.

Supporting Alena will be Lee Fallon as he puts his money where his mouth is and takes to the decks for his long-awaited debut. Joining them in the fold will be Matt Holmes. The music kicks off from 9pm-2am and tickets will be available on the night for just £2.
