SPAREHED 3 are back at The Raven on Saturday 21 August with a new line-up, new songs and a new name.
After three years of steady development the lads decided it was time to shake things up a bit and are re-launching as 'Flat Back Four'.
Singer Mark has left the band to live in America and has been replaced for the moment by Melon, the jack in the box front man of fellow punks No Standards.
The Raven gig will be the last show of the summer tour, which has seen the band peddling their punk wares as far as Norwich, Bristol and Newquay, including a support slot with Surferosa, the Norwegian aerobic rockers who also played at this year's Download Festival.
Ste Linguard, guitarist in Flat Back Four said; "The tour has been a blast. We've been to a pile of new places and met loads of great people.
"Watching Coronation Street with those mad Norwegians in their posh tour bus was bizarre.
"It's always nice to be home though- you can get fed up of sun, booze and curry after a bit. Honestly, really, I mean it...sort of."
The day after the Raven gig the band will head to Swansea to spend a week recording their new EP 'Handguns and Hiding Places' at Mighty Atom studios with Joe Gibb (Funeral For A Friend/Lost Prophets).
Flat Back Four will be joined on the Raven line-up by No Standards, Shrapnel, Onslow, Smudge and GFA.
Entry is free and the bands start at 8pm.
